Job Description:

This position is responsible for supporting day-to-day operations of the TPS global network and for tactical and strategic planning of upgrades and expansion.  This position will proactively monitor MPLS private network, Cisco managed wireless, VoIP, call center, Internet connectivity and web environment supporting numerous locations around the globe.

Job Requirements:

 

Skills:
* Strong technical aptitude and comprehension of security, mobility, IPC, routing, switching.  Advanced knowledge of system access and security methods.
* Strong hands on technical experience versus theoretical.
* Proficient in ASA/PIX Cisco firewall, Cisco routers and Cisco switches.
* Identify and articulate potential risks associated with various systems/devices technical elements and escalate issues to management.
* Support, planning and engineering of Global Enterprise network.
* Develop and document network plans, identifying current conditions and making recommendations to ensure network infrastructure is positioned to meet emerging business requirements.
* Critical system(s) status monitoring through trend analysis and capacity planning; establishing and monitoring critical check points, thresholds and criteria for management exception reporting.
* Anticipate potential issues; troubleshoot, research and resolve issues and problems associated with network performance, capacity issues, VoIP & call center, wireless networks, and Cisco equipment.
* Use of expert knowledge to resolve highly complex or escalated infrastructure problems.
* Research and implement introduction and integration of leading edge technology as appropriate.
* Analyze network traffic data, and interpret network traffic data.
* Analysis and reporting of network utilization and growth.
* Estimate tasks for project planning and sets timelines. Provide management and other team members clear and timely updates on status of designed responsibilities.
* Ensure that Disaster Recovery Plan and Business Continuity Plan to maintain LAN and WAN platforms.  Follow development and implementation procedures, including the development and execution of  test plans, change control, development of system documentation. Ensure high quality by participating in and following IT and industry best practices processes.

Experience:
* 5-7 years experience as Network Engineer.
* 3 + years in design, configuration and management of Global Enterprise Networks. Upgrade / migration experience is a plus.
*  Experience with Cisco networking equipment a must.
*  Experience with Cisco Call Manager and Call Center a plus.
* 5 + years of networking experience. Ability to design, configure and manage TCP/IP based network using Cisco and HP switches, routers and firewalls. Good understanding of network segregation, traffic analysis and shaping. Understanding of VLANs.
*  5+ years of hardware diagnostics and troubleshooting skills (Dell, Cisco, IBM, Citrix).
*  1 + years of Linux experience a plus. Very basic tasks will be required (installation, configuration, troubleshooting).
* Deep hardware architecture experience (highly available systems, benchmarking, monitoring).
* Experience with disaster recovery - planning and implementation.
* Experience with industry standard monitoring and remote management solutions.  (Orion, MRTG, etc.)
* Experience with Cisco TACS system.

Education:
* Minimum B.S. with a technical emphasis or equivalent.
* CCNA certification required,
* CCNP and MCSE certification desired.
